Site
The site chosen was located at Lorong Hang Jebat, Malacca. This site is under core zone area which mean it is a heritage building. It was built since 1641 and it was a food warehouse during the past.
Advantages of site: 1. Facing to river, good environment
2. Most attractive building among the street
3. Near to Jonker Street, most crowded area in Malacca
Design Proposal
This Tourism Information Center is a space that not only provided information but also with few building program together. For ground floor, basically is a floor for collect and searching information like the typical one. Furthermore, the interesting part in this Information Center is the Souvenir and History Gallery at ground floor that design to be like a pathway and Capsule Room at first floor which design in a brand new way that totally different from the typical one.
Concept
The concept for this Information Center is " Direction" which developed from the building program itself. Information Center is a place where can getting all the information and giving clear direction to people. From this, 3 keywords has came out which are link, connection and focus point. The interior design will be suing a lot of line connect together to form a complete shape to brings out the concept.
